Fruit & Veggie Pulp Dog Treats


I juice daily, sometimes twice a day & end up with Fruit & Veggie Pulp that I don't have a use for as we are only passing through Canada...and because it is still winter here I can't even donate it to the neighbours! Saying that...over the weekend I found an awesome recipe that requires this very pulp, yay!!! And it's healthy, yay yay! And it's for my Tiny Friend Gunther, yay yay yay! Lol! This recipe is Raw, Alive & Vegan. A super nutrient rich treat for the pooches that have captured our hearts ♥ 

You will need....

4 Cups Fruit & Veggie Pulp

1/2 Cup Raw Sunflower Seeds

1/2 Cup Soaked Ground Flax

Splash of Nama Shoyu
1. Soak Ground Flax in 2 Cups Water for 30 Minutes

2. Mix all ingredients together & spread on non-stick sheets or baking paper 1/4 inch thick

3. Score into 1 inch squares

4. Dehydrate at 145* for 1 hour, reduce heat to 115 and continue to dry until completely dry, flipping once during dehydration. Approximately 12-14 hours.

*For baking option* Bake at 275F for 30 minutes, take out of oven & press gently and return to oven for 30 mins, reduce temp to 200F and bake for 1 hour until dry & crisp.
