The 60's Vibe

Lately I've been pondering what exactly made the 1960's such an epic time to have lived and how it can relate to my insatiable desire to create that now in the 21st Century in all of it's wonder and simplicity. Here are my key thoughts on what made this time period so exceptional...xo

Farmer's Market!

Hello!!! Today is Sunday and I decided to walk down the road after Connor pointed out that there was a Farmer's Market happening right around the corner from our new place in Auckland (YES, we finally made it to New Zealand! Woo Hoo!)...AND Con is a rockstar, just thought I'd mention :) So this market was super cute. It was little with just a few locally farmed Veggie Growers, Fresh Baked Bread, Raw Honey, Cheese and Homemade Relish & Chutney Concoctions.

I got a lot of diff kinds of Greens for my smoothies & salads and I got Tom some Swedish bread & relish for his open sammy's that he likes to toast with cheese. At the moment I am  shifting my diet and eating only raw, uncooked veggies, fruits & nuts/seeds for my daily calories. Pretty much trying to become a Raw Foodist long term. Tom & the kiddos aren't as keen so we are all eating different things in our home at the min...I'm sure lots of other people have similar differences in their homes?!

While I was walking I also saw this tree that really made me miss my brothers & sisters in California...we SOOO would have built a hut or fort in this wicked tree (probably still would too!). It just looks so magical hey?!

Happy Sunday Friends, Mwah! xo

I once met a woman when I first moved to New Zealand that used only the most natural, non-toxic ingredients to clean her rather large home...her house smelled fresh & looked spotless and her efforts really left an impression on me. It made me so curious! Could I clean my house this way daily/weekly, was it complicated, would it really remove tough jobs (like an oven!). And the answer is yes :) Umm...Yay! The EXTREMELY Talented Nathalie Lete

I've recently come across a
beautiful artist who lives & creates amazing things in Paris, has the girliest taste imaginable & honestly really inspired me by how whimsical she see's the world around her. Her name is Nathalie Lete. Born in 1964 to a German Mother & Chinese Father her world was nurtured by popular & folk art from her origins...
Nathalie @ age 5
Her work is fulfilled in many ways...she mixes different techniques & mediums, i.e. illustration, ceramic, textile & painting. Inspiration for a lot of her work comes from her many travels and she is very fond of vintage toys & old engravings of flowers & animals which you can see in her art. I think she is brilliant! Check out some of my fav below :) Enjoy!
