Natural Hair Care Trial

Hello!!! Today I am starting the first of several tests in my Natural Hair Care Quest....Geek Central is where I am currently located fyi :) My reason for trialing these new options? I am starting to realize that some of my daily habits are starting to cause noticeable irritations while my body is going through my Pre-Fast Detox (I'm preparing for a week long fast with a Pre-Detox for the past 2 weeks). During this process my skin has developed an almost Psoriasis type rash in the middle of my back and neck (pics at the bottom of my post) and my scalp is also very dry as well as itchy which is def not a normal occurrence for me. What I do know is that the skin breathes and is an organ and as I have in fact opened the pathway to releasing these toxins my body is complying and is releasing these toxins through my pores...but not without a few clues as to what toxins were actually in my body! My theory is that this irritation may not just be internal but may be bringing to my attention certain topical irritants that I haven't been paying attention to, i.e. my hair care & body wash. 

So here is my 1st Trial:

1. Lemons 

2. Apple Cider Vinegar 

So today I washed my hair with the juice of 1.5 Lemons and after that I rinsed it with Apple Cider Vinegar. These were the results....

Initially my hair felt a very diff consistency, more stiff but still felt soft and looked fluffy.... 

My barrel curls stayed in 10x better than normal, that doesn't generally happen with Shamp/Cond.

As my hair relaxed I started to notice the consistency was more dread-ish than normal but still soft....also, a bit oily at the roots

As far as my back rash...I mixed olive oil and sugar to make a nice scrub for my skin. *Important to clip hair up after washing so you don't get your hair full of oil & DON'T slip in shower from the oil!* These are the pics of what I think is Psoriasis from my Pre-Detox...hopefully in a week I'll see some improvement!?

Def Detox Symptoms at play...and it's -19 C today so I have goosebumps!
