Today while I was food shopping I gazed upon a very handsome Father with his Toddler son on their food shopping excursion. While I was observing the two of them I noticed that while the Father was paying for his groceries he was trying hard to make eye contact or connection with the beautiful blonde behind the register (who was not paying any notice to either Father or Son). While I was standing there I had this distinct impression that he wasn't trying to get attention or to "pick her up" or to be inappropriate in any way toward this beautiful girl, esp with his gorgeous wee son in tow. But what I did feel was that this very attractive "Daddy' was attempting, in some form, to feel his old self again and to feel attractive just like he had in his life before becoming a parent.
This scenario may seem a little odd but when you really look at the intention behind it you will see that it was an attempt by this Father to regain a piece of himself that had been personally lost in a huge way.
As a Mum of two I can relate to the changes that happen to a person after becoming a very busy, full fledged Guardian of the FULLY reliant young that have come into our lives. Young that require a great deal of time, constant care, love & attention. This relationship that occurs between a parent & their offspring is DEF a path altering change that may leave MANY or ALL people in a state of wondering "Who am I now?" when these waves of change begin to settle.
I would love to say that I find this process a very natural progression in our personal path as Humans and as ever Ascending Beings!!! This scenario needs to occur in our thought process, once the cloud of pure selflessness has lifted, so that we can discover who we really are again, which may be a vastly deeper level of existence or consciousness then we were in before! This can take a while but in every case this is a GREAT gift if we are open to allowing ourselves to have it. SIDENOTE: It is NOT wrong to act upon this self recognition & discovery, or to feel selfish for putting YOU first, but it may take some time & practice!
Each of us is on a very unique journey in each lifetime we live, even our little people that have come into the world are on their own personal journeys of higher consciousness and learning!
And in order for us to allow these Tiny People that we adore to fulfill their own purpose on this earth (which is why they have decided to be born to us into this life) we need to have our own individual desires & goals that WE are striving for personally that will in turn lead them into the direction of their own GOALS of self care and discovery. We Lead by Example right?!
At the end of the day we are in fact "Guides" to these beautiful beings that we like to claim as our own...but they are NOT our individual purpose in this life. Our children will fulfill their own expansion and their own learning experiences in this life with or without us. We are just along for the ride! So my point? We should all TRULY know ourselves and invest in our own wicked, amazing, fulfilling journeys as soon as we reach the point of doing so! Our children will thank us for it, even if they don't acknowledge it right away ;)
