My Precious Stones

I LOVE finding the deeper meanings in most things day to day...I truly believe that there is more going on in the world around us than meets the eye & by seeking the things that are hidden I often find little gems of wisdom that help me along my little chosen path. 

One of these "little gems" for me is precious stones. Since my kids were little I have been drawn to the research of the laws of attraction & the different beliefs that many people hold about nature, the healing properties of homeopathy/alternative remedies, raw food healing & vast different forms of healing. And I think, why did the kids bring this out in me?? Maybe because during nap times, coffee chats with other Mummy's & the enlightenment of becoming a completely different human being (after kids!) I started to attract the very best things in life for these two little pebbles! And in New Zealand where I gave birth to my babies, it was very easy to draw upon these natural, beautiful resources wherever I turned.

So on this search of the natural I became interested in the power of precious stones (poss after seeing how well the amber teething necklaces calmed my little babies & the diff I saw without them on! *Thanks Lou Lou*). I read a lot, talked a lot (suprise suprise) and touched a lot of precious stones and I came to the conclusion that stones are very personal & when open to their healing abilities they come into a persons path when the are most needed. As my kids continued to get older that is exactly what various stones continued to do...my babes attracted these stones as they were needed, at diff times for the diff stages they were meant for, and so did I. 

Some of my favs that have been very useful in my life....

Rose Quartz: The stone of unconditional love, compassion, peace tenderness, 

healing, personal fulfillment & contentment. Healer of emotional wounds.

Amber: A natural analgesic (pain reliever), soothing & calming effect, 

balances emotions, clears mind, releaser of negative energy & fear.

Aqua Marine: Inspires trust & truth, fearlessness, protection, heart-felt 

communication, wisdom & intellectual reasoning.

Green Aventurine: Stone of opportunity, wealth, good luck, optimism, releases
 bad habits, reinforces indecisiveness & promotes leadership.

*Quick tip*
When placing stones near babies/children find a secret place where they will not be discovered whilst sleeping/napping. My fav spot was under the lip of the kids matresses underneath the mattress guard & sheet ;)
